Tyler has an Executive Certificate in Talent Acquisition from Cornell University, a Bachelor’s in Turfgrass Science from Penn State University, and 20+ years of work experience in the golf and turfgrass industry, including six as Golf Course Superintendent at Sparrows Point Country Club in Baltimore, MD, where he created the first registered apprenticeship program in the country.
Since 2020, Tyler and his team have placed over 300+ professionals in executive and management level roles throughout the United States. He's mentored dozens of future Golf Course Superintendents through his own professional development program. Additionally, Tyler has presented at over 50+ continued education programs throughout the world.
Tyler is a highly sought-after speaker on both regional and international stages, renowned for his expertise and engaging presentations. A respected thought leader, he regularly contributes to industry publications, offering valuable insights into workforce development, recruitment and organizational impact. He has led three national research studies on workforce trends and studies in golf.
Tyler actively serves on workforce development committees and has collaborated extensively with GCSAA Chapters, spanning from New England to the Carolinas and reaching as far west as Washington, showcasing his nationwide impact and commitment to advancing the turf and golf industries.
As a national expert, Tyler works directly with clubs, General Managers, Golf Course Superintendents, and Board Members to help them optimize their organizational and teams through a combination of workforce and leadership development and consultative services.
